I think we can all safely say No. 1 Alabama will take care of business against Louisiana-Lafayette in Tuscaloosa this weekend, but handling the Ragin' Cajuns to the tune of a 49-point beatdown or better?


Well, that's a different story. 

The Crimson Tide improved to 4-0 after defeating then-No. 22 Texas A&M 45-23 at home last Saturday, but actually regressed to a 3-1 record against the spread after failing to cover a hefty 27.5-point spread against the Aggies.


Heisman-hopeful quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is leading what is arguably the most explosive Alabama offense we've seen in Nick Saban's 10-year dynasty in Tuscaloosa, which is an exciting deviation from the norm of Crimson Tide championship contenders built entirely on staunch defenses with system offenses. 

Even with as good as Tagovailoa has been, it's hard to imagine Saban will have him in this game beyond halftime, which means if you're rolling with the Tide to cover this insane spread, you'll most likely be betting on backup quarterback Jalen Hurts to keep your line safe.
