After the devastating news the 49ers received about the torn ACL in starting running back Jerrick McKinnon's knee, they were left with a big question mark at running back.
The Niners had two choices: Matt Berida or Alfred Morris.
Morris has the experience and the more impressive in-game track record. Breida is younger, more athletic and a bigger threat in the passing game. While this running back battle could have gone either way, judging by 49ers practice on Tuesday, it seems they have started leaning toward one option.

Breida has started taking first-team reps in practice as of Tuesday, and it sounds like Morris not yet knowing the playbook is a reason behind it.
While Breida was always the stronger play in PPR leagues, it now seems he will be the better fantasy play overall. Fantasy owners, who have been watching the waiver wire since the McKinnon injury, now seem to have their answer, at least for the first few weeks until Morris learns the playbook.
