It's a strange feeling, but the Jacksonville Jaguars are coming into the season with high expectations.

Blake Bortles has begun to figure it out and Leonard Fournette has been a wrecking ball for this team, but it's their defense that really carried them to the AFC Championship last season. The huge season from this unit has now raised the bar, as the Jaguars are projected to have a monster year.

According to PaddyPower.com, the Jaguars are getting 3/1 odds to finish the season with 50 or more regular season sacks and at least five defensive touchdowns.

With the playmakers on this team, it's hard to doubt them.

While those numbers may be high, just look at their defensive line. With Calais Campbell, Yannick Ngakoue, Myles Jack, Marcell Dareus, Malik Jackson, and more, this defensive line seems impossible to stop. They reached 55 sacks last season.

The second part of the bet may be more difficult as it's nearly impossible to predict how many defensive scores a team will get, but if you use last season as a measuring stick, they could get it done.

Even if they fail to reach their mark from last season, there's plenty of wiggle room for this team to operate.

Betting on the Jaguars used to seem stupid. Now, it kind of seems realistic.
