The fantasy baseball season is winding down to the final few months, and owners in weekly leagues will look to boost their pitching stats or take down their head-to-head matchups with some two-start pitcher pickups.

Streaming waiver wire pitchers has been quite the tight rope act in recent weeks, but with a new week comes a new chance to exploit favorable matchups for some of the league's more under-owned starting pitchers. Here are the top three pitchers going twice in Week 16, all widely available in Yahoo! Fantasy Leagues.

1. Marco Gonzales, Seattle Mariners

Marco Gonzales has not been a great source of strikeouts this season, with only 87 whiffs in 120 2/3 innings, but in the right matchup he can provide some decent numbers. This week, he is lined up to face a scuffling Texas Rangers' lineup and an AL-worst Detroit Tigers lineup, both at home. Gonzales has pitched well in two starts against Texas this season (3.50 ERA) and can cap off the week with a big outing against a Tigers' lineup averaging just 3.65 runs per game this season. He is owned in 43 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

2. Trevor Richards, Miami Marlins

Miami's young and talented rotation is never a great bet for wins, but this week the Marlins get a few beatable opponents on the schedule. Trevor Richards (owned in 14 percent of Yahoo! leagues) will face the Chicago White Sox on the road, followed by the Arizona Diamondbacks at home. The righty, who possesses one of the best changeups in baseball, is a decent source of strikeouts in the right matchup, and will start the week against a White Sox team that averages 9.41 Ks per game (No. 24 in MLB).

3. Jason Vargas, New York Mets

It's not always advisable to watch Jason Vargas labor through a baseball game, but many don't realize how great he pitched for the New York Mets in June, posting a 2.70 ERA. He has scuffled a bit through three July starts, including a six-run outing against the Marlins, but this week gets two favorable starts at home against the San Diego Padres and Pittsburgh Pirates. Vargas (owned in 8 percent of Yahoo! leagues) owns a 3.15 ERA and 1.22 WHIP at Citi Field this season.
