3 Raiders Players Advanced Stats Love

The Las Vegas Raiders officially relocated after the 2019 season, ushering in a new era for the team. Led by Jon Gruden, the team is filled with young players and looks in dire need of improvement according to the latest odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.
However, the Raiders have some exciting players that really stand out when you look at their advanced stats page.
1. Derek Carr, QB
There was some speculation that the Raiders would move on from quarterback Derek Carr, but he kept his spot after putting up career-high numbers in passer rating, yards per attempt, and completion percentage in 2019. The advanced stats bear this out, as Carr ranked second among all quarterbacks in "on-target" passing percentage with 82.6%. This shows that Carr's accuracy continued to improve last season. His "bad throw" percentage also dropped from 12.6% to 11.0%.
2. Josh Jacobs, RB
In addition to racking up 1,150 rushing yards in just 13 games, Jacobs had some of the best yards after contact numbers in football. He ranked fifth overall in yards after contact per attempt, averaging 2.8 yards. Jacobs was also eighth overall in broken tackles and fifth in total yards after contact. These stats show that the Raiders have an emerging star in the backfield.
3. Cory Littleton, LB
The Raiders signed linebacker Cory Littleton away from the Los Angeles Rams with a three-year, $36 million deal. With the Raiders needing significant help on defense, the signing made sense. The advanced stats also show that Littleton was very good last season. He limited opposing receivers to just 6.3 yards per target and missed just 3.6% of his tackles. PFF graded him as the eighth-best linebacker in football with a score of 89. All of this is music to Jon Gruden's ears.
