In the Week 2 Sunday Night Football game, the New England Patriots travel across the country to take on the Seattle Seahawks. The odds are fairly close for this game, so we should see a competitive matchup to close out Sunday.

Because of this, no result would be too terribly shocking. However, the game could still bring some surprises.

With that in mind, here are three bold predictions for the Patriots against the Seahawks.

3. Cam Newton Runs for Another Touchdown

Cam Newton was the leading rusher in the Patriots' Week 1 game, totaling 75 yards and two touchdowns. While some quarterbacks pick up yards on the ground during broken plays, the Patriots clearly drew up plays for Newton to do damage with his legs. For example, they drew up a quarterback power in the red zone, which resulted in a touchdown. If the Patriots are going to use Newton as a goal line back, he should find the end zone again in Week 2.

2. Julian Edelman Totals 100 Yards

The Patriots receiving corps lacks some star power, to put it lightly, but we still see Julian Edelman as the team's go-to target. Still, it was a relatively quiet day last Sunday, totaling five catches for 57 yards. We just saw the Atlanta Falcons pass for 450 yards against this Seattle defense, with three different players totaling over 100 yards. Edelman has a good shot at reaching that mark here.

1. Patriots Hold Seahawks Under 100 Rushing Yards

The Seahawks were a run-heavy team last season, running the ball 48.2 percent of the time. However, they did not do much on the ground in their Week 1 game. They ran for just 84 yards, with Russell Wilson being the leading rusher. The Patriots played solid run defense of their own in Week 1, limiting the Miami Dolphins to 87 rushing yards, averaging 3.2 yards per carry. Look for New England to keep Seattle's ground attack in check.
