As the 2022 NFL season approaches, it's drawing more and more attention, especially when it comes to rankings and predictions. This week, PFF released its list of the top 50 NFL players for the 2022 NFL season.
PFF Top 50 Chiefs
Expected to be one of the NFL's best teams in 2022, it should be no surprise that multiple Kansas City Chiefs players were named as part of this list. The clear top player on the list for Kansas City is quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Arguably the best quarterback in the NFL, Mahomes checks in at No. 5 overall, and the No. 2 quarterback on the list behind Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers.
While Mahomes doesn't rank at the top of his position, his teammate Travis Kelce does register as the list's top tight end. He comes in at No. 10 overall. This is no surprise, Kelce has now racked up six consecutive seasons of at least 1,000 receiving yards.
The last name on the list for Kansas City comes from the defensive side of the ball in defensive lineman Chris Jones. He's been a staple of Kansas City's defense for the last six years, making a major impact the last five years. He's had at least 9.0 sacks in three of the last four years and even had 15.5 in 2018. Jones checks in at No. 15.
While Kansas City may not have the most total number of players on this list, it's one of two teams (also the Los Angeles Rams) that has three players in the top-15. This helps them land the third-best odds to win the Super Bowl this season at +950, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
