Prop bets are some of the most intriguing parts of betting on the Super Bowl. And with so many to choose from, it can be overwhelming at times. There are prop bets with short odds and long odds, but let's take a look at three long shot prop bets to consider ahead of Super Bowl LIV.
1. Game to Be Decided by Exactly 3 Points (+500)
With a matchup projected to be this close, having a 1.5-point spread, the game certainly could come down to the wire. The Kansas City Chiefs played one game this season decided by exactly three points, while the San Francisco 49ers had a whopping four games decided by exactly three points in 2019. If this game stays close throughout, a last-second field goal could easily end up deciding this one. Interestingly, the last Super Bowl to be decided by exactly three points was Super Bowl XLVII, which featured the 49ers.
2. Safety During Game? : Yes (+900)
Safeties have been scored in nine different Super Bowls, but there has never been more than one in any championship game. That means 17.0 percent of Super Bowls have had a safety scored. Most recently, one was scored on the first play from scrimmage in Super Bowl XLVIII. Based on those percentages, there is some value in that +900 number.
3. To Score 2+ Touchdowns: Travis Kelce (+650)
Travis Kelce is arguably the best tight end in the NFL and plays a major role in the Chiefs' explosive passing attack. He had five touchdowns in 2019 and never had more than one in any game during the regular season. However, Kelce exploded for three touchdowns in the AFC Divisional Round game against the Houston Texans. If Mahomes and the Chiefs' offense can get going in a similar manner, Kelce could find the end zone multiple times before the night is over, even against San Francisco's tough defense.
