Yu Darvish recently bounced back from a brutal start to the season with an 11-strikeout performance against the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday. But according to WGN-TV's broadcast, there's a secret to Darvish's success – he's apparently from the future.

More specifically, Darvish is apparently from some time around the year 12017. You'd think that a man with 10,000 years of extra knowledge and wisdom would have a better ERA than 5.14 through nine starts this season, but even that power hasn't been enough to help Darvish recently.

Of course, it goes without saying that was just a hilarious typo by one of WGN's production people. But if anyone did have time-traveling ability, it's probably someone who recently banked a contract worth $126 million.

If Darvish begins to significantly turn his season around, I, for one, will not rule out the possibility that he really is a time traveler.
