Will Fuller Update Boosts Jaylen Waddle & DeVante Parker Fantasy Outlook

Wide receiver Will Fuller was forced to miss the Miami Dolphins' season opener as he finished serving a suspension. It has since been announced that he will not be on the field this week, either. Fuller is reportedly dealing with a personal matter and it is not known when he will be ready to return.
For now, the absence of Fuller boosts the fantasy outlooks of his fellow wideouts in DeVante Parker and Jaylen Waddle heading into a Week 2 showdown against the Buffalo Bills.
DeVante Parker Fantasy Outlook
Fuller was expected to take a dip into Parker's targets, but that obviously will not be the case in Week 2. Parker played well in Week 1 and acted as the go-to target for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The seventh-year pro played in 83% of the offensive snaps and hauled in 4 of 7 targets for 81 yards.
Without Fuller there to be the deep threat, it wouldn't be surprising to see Parker work down the field once again. He averaged over 20 yards per catch in Week 1 and posted an average depth of target (aDOT) of 12.0 yards. The 28-year-old should have no trouble posting low-end WR3 numbers this week against a Bills' defense that gave up 239.5 passing yards per game in 2020 (No. 18 in NFL).
Jaylen Waddle Fantasy Outlook
Waddle may benefit more than anyone in this situation. The rookie pass-catcher will see a lot of time on the outside without any competition coming from Fuller. Waddle appeared in 80% of the offensive snaps in Week 1 and ranked second on the team with 6 targets (4 receptions, 61 yards, 1 touchdown).
More importantly, the only WR to see any targets besides Parker & Waddle was veteran Albert Wilson with two. It is clear that Waddle is going to be a featured part of this offense. His touchdown catch during the third quarter showcased his incredible route-running skills and ability to make an impact.
Waddle has a lot of upside and checks in at WR32 in The Duel's Week 2 fantasy football rankings.
