Vikings Get Great News With Latest Dalvin Cook Injury Update

After missing the last two weeks (one game), it looks like Dalvin Cook will be back on the field Sunday against the division rival Green Bay Packers. This is a huge boost to a Vikings team that has struggled big-time this season, going 1-5 on the year and heading into their Week 8 matchup losers of two straight games.

Cook was the league's top rusher before he went down, on an offense that couldn't find consistency anywhere else. Bringing Cook back before a potential must-win game against the Packers will be massive for the Vikings.

Alex Mattison hasn't been nearly as effective as the team had hoped in Cook's absence.

IF the Vikings want any chance of beating Aaron Rodgers and the Packers on Sunday, Cook will need to be in the lineup. While this is a great sing, it is still not set in stone that Cook will suit up. It will be important to monitor this situation up until game time.
