Ben Roethlisberger has been one of the league's best quarterbacks since taking over for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2004. His rookie season was even the stuff of legend, leading the team to a 13-0 record and an appearance in the AFC Championship Game.

But Roethlisberger didn't actually open the season as the team's starter. He was riding the bench until midway through Week 2, when he made his NFL debut against the Baltimore Ravens. But when he took over for Tommy Maddox, fans got an early glimpse at just how special he would go on to be.

Roethlisberger came in midway through the third quarter, but the game was pretty much out of reach by then. Still, he showed some impressive glimpses, ultimately completing 12-of-20 passes for 176 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.

He'd go on to win his next 13 starts en route to winning the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2004.
