Thanks to his incredible acceleration and deadly speed, Darren Sproles made for one of the most dangerous return men in the entire league.

And the New England Patriots were just one of many NFL teams that learned that lesson the hard way.

There are multiple points in this highlight where it appears the Patriots have Sproles dead to rights. In fact, New England's punter Ryan Allen even has Sproles squared up at the 40-yard line.

But it didn't matter. Sproles gives Allen a solid stiff arm and turns on the burners to cruise this one into the end zone for six.

The play was certainly an impactful one. It gave the Eagles a 28-14 lead over the Patriots that proved insurmountable, as Philadelphia went on to win this one, 35-28.
