In the Oakland Raiders' version of "Hard Knocks," there is no shortage of storylines or personalities to follow. When Oakland was first given the opportunity, we looked at Antonio Brown, Richie Incognito, Vontaze Burfict and, of course, Jon Gruden as larger than life personalities that would make for fantastic television.
However, possibly the favorite among viewers so far has been Coach Brentson Bucker, also known as Coach Buck, the defensive line coach. He leaned into his group a bit in the most recent episode, calling out the effort and passion from many of them.
Coach Buck has been become a favorite by fans for keeping it real and authentic with his players, as if the cameras were not there at all. He doesn't have time for laziness, shortcuts or anything besides excellence on the football field.
Coach Brentson Buckner was a second-round draft pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 1994. After retiring in 2006, Buck hosted a radio sow with former offensive lineman Frank Garcia, before getting into coaching. He served as the defensive line coach for the Arizona Cardinals (2013-17) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2018) before joining the Raiders staff this season.
