The offseason departures of Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling left the Green Bay Packers' wide receiver depth chart looking quite different heading into 2022. Green Bay addressed part of this new lack of depth by selecting three wideouts in April's draft.

One of those selections was former Nevada standout Romeo Doubs, who flashed brilliant displays of speed during his final two years of college ball. That speed was in full effect during Green Bay's training camp practice on Tuesday. Check out the video below.

Packers insider Peter Bukowski described it perfectly, saying "Romeo Doubs is FAST fast."

In the video, Doubs burns cornerback Eric Stokes on a fade route before hauling in a perfect over-the-shoulder toss from Aaron Rodgers. Keep in mind, Stokes ran a blazing 4.2 40-yard dash at his rookie combine.

Doubs didn't light up the 40-time stopwatches in the same way, with his lowest recorded time coming in at 4.5. But we know there's a number of factors that play into running a perfect 40-yard dash.

Regardless, Doubs' speed was on full display in college. The fourth round selection tallied back-to-back seasons with 1,000+ receiving yards on 138 receptions and 20 total touchdowns. This included an average of 17.9 yards per reception during his junior year, showing what a perfect deep-threat he can be.

The Packers' coaching staff likes what they see. Packers scout Jon-Eric Sullivan summed up his in-game speed following Green Bay's selection back in April, "We’re very comfortable with his play speed. Watch the tape, he plays fast, runs past a lot of people."
