Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay has accomplished a lot in such a short career. When the Rams won Super Bowl LVI, the victory made McVay the youngest coach to win a championship. He's also a former NFL Coach of the Year, leaving very little left for him to accomplish — at least on the field.

Rumors are now swirling that a pair of companies are interested in McVay's service when it comes to the broadcast booth. The New York Times reported Wednesday that FOX and Amazon are hoping to add McVay to their broadcasts for the 2022 NFL season.

Sean McVay Rumors

Amazon is reportedly looking to add McVay to the broadcast booth for their Thursday Night Football games. Meanwhile, FOX is interested because they need a replacement for Troy Aikman since it's being reported he's preparing to join ESPN.

McVay's current contract with the Rams runs through the 2023 NFL season, with rumors indicating that management is paying him about $8.5 million per year. He's already said that he intends on defending his championship with the Rams next season, however, money can make people change their minds.

Former NFL quarterback-turned-broadcaster Tony Romo proved how much commentators could make when he signed a 10-year, $180 million broadcasting deal with CBS in 2020. Aikman's ESPN contract is estimated to be in the same neighborhood as well.

Even if McVay fully intends on running it back with the Rams, an opportunity to double his NFL salary could be enough to make him consider the offer. After all, taking a broadcasting job would open up a lot more free time in his life.

Nevertheless, everything is a rumor until an actual deal gets done. While the money could be tempting, sometimes you can't put a price on potentially winning back-to-back championships.

The Rams currently have +1200 odds (No. 3) to win Super Bowl LVII next season, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
