It's been one of those seasons for the Minnesota Twins as this team can't seem to catch a good break. Minnesota continues to flounder, sitting at 22-32 on the year and on the heels of a 7-4 loss to the last-place Baltimore Orioles.

The bad news continued on Tuesday when Minnesota's starting catcher exited the game in just the 1st inning. It was revealed this morning that Garver underwent surgery on his injured groin after yesterday's loss.

In terms of a timetable for his return, nothing has been set but it looks like Garver will be out indefinitely. This, of course, is a major blow to a struggling Twins squad. Garver has played in 41 of Minnesota's 54 games this season, with a slash line of .224/.333/.500 including 8 home runs and 17 RBI.

Currently, Minnesota owns the 6th-worst odds to win the American League Pennant (+3500), according to the latest MLB odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
