The bad news just keeps piling up for the Miami Dolphins.

Tua Tagovailoa was finally finding his groove, but the finger injury that limited him at practice all week will have him ruled out for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans.

This means Jacoby Brissett will be back under center for Miami. That's not good.

The Dolphins have gone 0-5 with Brissett at QB this season, losing those games by an average score of 27.6 to 12.4. Brissett ranks 23rd among qualifying quarterbacks in Pro Football Focus' offensive grade on the year.

Tua didn't take long to get up to speed after returning from his rib injury in Week 6, completing 74.7% of his passes for 620 yards with 6 touchdowns and 3 interceptions in Week 6 and 7 before struggling against the Buffalo Bills in Week 8. Even then, the Dolphins lost 26-11 to the Bills, compared to 35-0 when Brissett played the majority of the snaps in Week 2.

Thankfully, Miami has one of the best matchups you could ask for in Week 9.

They were 5.5-point favorites before the news that Tua would be sidelined, but FanDuel Sportsbook's Week 9 NFL odds still have Miami as 4-point favorites with Brissett at the helm.
