Top Fantasy Football Streaming Tight Ends for Week 16 Fantasy Championship

The tight end position is a pretty tricky one. Outside of a few elite producers at the top of the position, there just aren't that many reliable assets. That has proven more true than ever this season.
With the position producing so little, fantasy managers have been forced to win on the margins, which is why streaming the position (picking up a new TE each week based on matchups) can be so crucial.
Here are our top tight end streaming picks, rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues, to target in Week 16.
3. Jordan Reed, San Francisco 49ers (at ARI)
Jordan Reed regularly appearing on this list speaks volumes about how weak the tight end position is in fantasy football this year. Reed has only played even 50% of the San Francisco 49ers' offensive snaps twice this year, but he has been up over 40% in five straight games. During that five-game stretch he's averaging 5.2 targets per — nothing to write home about, but enough to make him a viable option if you're really in a jam.
2. Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears (at JAX)
Cole Kmet only had 2 receptions and 2 yards on 2 targets last week, but don't let that worry you. He played every single snap for the Bears, up from his shares of 78% and 85% in the previous two games. He'd also seen 7 targets in each of his previous two games before last week's dud. That kind of volume is not easy to come by, and in Week 16 he brings it into a great matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars (No. 24 in Football Outsiders' pass defense DVOA metric).
1. Austin Hooper, Cleveland Browns (at NYJ)
Speaking of great matchups, the New York Jets rank dead-last in pass defense DVOA, and they've allowed the NFL's most PPR fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. Austin Hooper's volume has been frustratingly low at time, but he has seen at least 5 targets in two of his last four games. This matchup is also good enough that even limited volume would give him some really promising upside.
