Top Fantasy Football Streaming Defenses for Week 7

Only one defense that ranked top-six in average draft position (ADP) this offseason ranks better than 10th at the position in fantasy points per game through six weeks of the season.
Fantasy production for defenses is all about matchups and situation. That's why so many fantasy managers opt to lean heavily on the waiver wire and "stream" the position by readily adding and dropping defenses every week to find a new starter.
If you're one of those managers, The Duel is here to help with our top fantasy football streaming defenses for Week 7.
Streaming Defense Fantasy Football Week 7
3. Las Vegas Raiders (vs PHI)
This is a thin week for streaming defenses (though there are some solid options in the 50-70% rostered range that may be available, including our top-ranked defense for the week), but the Las Vegas Raiders are an interesting option if you're in a bind. They dropped 15 fantasy points against the Denver Broncos last week, and they've now generated the fourth-most pressures in the NFL. The Philadelphia Eagles' pass protection has been solid this year, but the Raiders have Pro Football Focus' top-graded pass rush gives them boom-or-bust fantasy upside here.
2. San Francisco 49ers (vs IND)
On the opposite end of the spectrum from the Eagles, the Colts own PFF's third-worst pass blocking grade this year. Carson Wentz has managed to protect the ball well in the air, but he's been sacked at least twice in every single game this season, also losing a pair of fumbles. The San Fran defense hasn't been anything special in 2021, but this play is more about the matchup than anything.
1. New Orleans Saints (at SEA)
The New Orleans Saints' D has been very boom-or-bust for fantasy purposes, scoring 15-plus fantasy points twice and fewer than 5 fantasy points twice. With Russell Wilson out, they should be in for a "boom" week here. Geno Smith completed a surprising 71.9% of his passes in his first start last week, but he was also sacked 5 times and only averaged 6.5 yards per attempt thank to a timid gameplan. Pete Carroll will have to open things up if they want any shot at upsetting the Saints, but that would also increase the opportunities for big plays from the New Orleans defense.
