Week 6's stunning loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers seemed like rock bottom for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With a potential "get-right" game against the Christian McCaffrey-less Carolina Panthers on the horizon, that should have been the low point of Tampa Bay's 2022 season.
Instead, they reached a new low in Week 7. The Panthers shocked head coach Todd Bowles and his team with a convincing 21-3 defeat, despite the Buccaneers being heavy 13.5-point favorites.
After the game, reporters asked Bowles if the franchise would consider personnel changes on the coaching staff. Here's how he responded:
Bowles indicated the team "won't consider coaching changes," but instead "will consider changing the things they're doing."
That much is obvious. Tampa Bay is 3-4 after losing back-to-back games against bad opponents and can't seem to beat anyone right now. The offense is a mess and Tom Brady appears to be finally showing his age at 45.
The Buccaneers will have to patch things up quickly if they're going to bounce back on Thursday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8.
