This Andy Reid Stat Proves Clyde Edwards-Helaire is Going to Have a Monster Season

Clyde Edwards-Helaire has already become a hot commodity in fantasy football circles. Despite never having played a single snap at the NFL level, he's already a top-10 overall player in our 2020 rankings.
Expectations for the rookie are sky high, but part of the reason for that lofty draft status is the pedigree of his coach, Andy Reid. Essentially, being the RB1 in an Andy Reid-led offense almost always leads to fantasy gold.

Over the past 16 seasons, Reid's RB1 has been a top-eight back 13 times, averaging 18.9 PPR points per game during that span. That would've been the 7th-best average at the position last season.
Reid has also excelled with pass-catching running backs, as his RB1 has averaged 4.0 receptions and 34.7 receiving yards per game over that 16-year stretch. That's probably the best facet of CEH's game, as he caught 55 passes for 453 yards as a junior with the LSU Tigers.
Facing minimal competition in an offense that's perfectly tailored to his strengths, Edwards-Helaire could be in for a monster season in 2020.
