The Colts Need to Sign Marqise Lee to Build Around Philip Rivers

In a relatively shocking move, the Jacksonville Jaguars released Marqise Lee just a few days ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft. While that could signal that the Jags are in the market for a new receiver, Lee is still capable of helping a team.
And there's one WR-needy team in particular that could really use the USC product's services – the Indianapolis Colts.
A surprise: The #Jaguars are releasing WR Marqise Lee, source said. One of their most productive receivers is now a free agent – fully healthy and completely cleared medically — right before the draft.

Last season, none of the Colts' wideouts reached even 610 receiving yards. Of course, a lot of that can be attributed to T.Y. Hilton's absence (six missed games in 2019) and some lackluster play from Jacoby Brissett.
Still, Indianapolis undoubtedly needs to upgrade its pass-catching group and Lee is going to be the best option available on the open market. While he's struggled with injuries, Lee did have a 63-reception, 851-yard campaign in 2016. He can clearly produce when he's right.
They don't have a first-round pick, so the Colts could add Lee to help shore up their receiving group without having to sacrifice any more draft capital. Not likely to command too big of a contract, Lee could be a great low-cost gamble for Philip Rivers and the Colts.
