Super Bowl Odds: Spread Continues to Trend in Rams' Favor Ahead of Kickoff
By Larry Rupp

The Los Angeles Rams are set to play Super Bowl 56 in their home stadium and have long been heralded as the favorites over the Cincinnati Bengals. It seems like more and more people are starting to buy in on head coach Sean McVay's squad given the spread is moving in their favor.

Super Bowl 56 Spread
The Rams had been 4-point favorites ever since the Championship Round ended two weeks ago. However, all of the money pouring in has caused the Bengals to become 4.5-point underdogs with kickoff merely hours away, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
It's interesting to see the sudden change given Los Angeles' inability to pull away in games this season. The Rams are just 10-10 against the spread (ATS) in 2021 and 5-5 ATS when playing in SoFi Stadium. Meanwhile, Cincinnati has posted an impressive 13-7 ATS record this season.
The Bengals are used to being the underdog. They entered both the Divisional Round and AFC Championship game expected to lose by at least a field goal. It didn't matter, though. Cincinnati took down the AFC's No. 1 and No. 2 seed while ending a three decade long Super Bowl drought.
It's likely that the Rams experience is causing the odds to trend in their favor. McVay has coached in a Super Bowl once before and quarterback Matthew Stafford's 13 years of playing in the NFL should come in handy. That doesn't mean that winning by at least five points is going to be easy.
Kickoff for Super Bowl LVI is set for 6:30 p.m. EST and will be nationally broadcasted on NBC.
