Expected to return from a concussion this week, Sterling Shepard has now been ruled out as the New York Giants taking on the Dallas Cowboys in a Monday Night NFC East showdown. This creates another opportunity for breakout fantasy star Darius Slayton to fill in.

Shepard has not taken the field since suffering a concussion in Week 5. In the time since, Slayton has averaged five targets per game, racking up three touchdowns.

Coming off of a two-touchdown performance in Week 8, it is clear that Slayton and rookie QB Daniel Jones have been building chemistry, and that will be important in a tough matchup against the Cowboys.

Given that the Giants are currently 6.5-point underdogs on FanDuel Sportsbook, the Giants should expect to be playing from behind and looking to pass a lot. Despite the fact that there are weapons at the tight and running back spots in Evan Engram and Saquon Barkley, Slayton represents one of the Giants best options at wide receiver.

Slayton exploded for 17 fantasy points in Week 8, and he has notched five-plus targets in two of the last three games. Set to continue playing an expanded role with Shepard on the shelf, Slayton once again gets a boost in fantasy football value on Monday night.
