The Seattle Seahawks have been searching for a reliable No. 3 wide receiver all year. The team kicked the tires on Antonio Brown, and is still hoping that Josh Gordon can get re-instated, but many fans have forgotten they may already have the answer on their team: Phillip Dorsett.

The Seahawks signed the speedy wideout via free agency this offseason, but he hasn't been able to get on the field due to a lingering foot issue. Unfortunately, it's looking like the team is going to have to keep waiting, as head coach Pete Carroll offered a worrying update on Dorsett's status.

This certainly explains why Seattle was so seemingly set on adding some outside help at receiver lately. Given that this injury has lingered since August, it doesn't look like Dorsett is a surefire bet to get back on the field at all this season.

Don't be surprised if Seattle makes a smaller move for a veteran receiver at the NFL Trade Deadline today.

Hopefully Dorsett can get back soon, though, as his presence could really help take an already-dominant Seahawks' offense over the top.

If not, David Moore, who has been surprisingly solid this season, will continue to serve as Seattle's No. 3 wideout.
