Saints Re-Sign Underrated Offensive Player to Extension

The offseason is in full swing for the New Orleans Saints with new head coach Dennis Allen officially on board. New Orleans has wasted little time in preparing for the start of free agency later this month, recently clearing some money off of their books.
Ahead of free agency, the Saints have also re-signed an underrated offensive player.

Juwan Johnson Contract
Tight end Juwan Johnson has signed a one-year extension to stay in New Orleans, according to NewOrleans.Football's Nick Underhill.
Johnson is an exclusive rights free agent due to having fewer than three seasons played and a previously expiring contract. By offering him a league-minimum deal, the Saints get to retain Johnson and prevent other teams from negotiating with him.
This is a smart move by New Orleans to keep Johnson in town. He had a productive 2021 season, posting career highs in receptions (13), yards (159) and touchdowns (4).
Johnson solidifies the Saints' depth at TE behind Adam Trautman and Nick Vannett heading into the 2022 campaign.
