Saints Finally Resolve Michael Thomas Contract Situation

One major question the New Orleans Saints needed to answer this offseason pertained to the future of wide receiver Michael Thomas. After several injury-plagued years, the team was never going to pay his scheduled salary for 2023, but both sides have been working on a new deal to keep him around.
On Tuesday, it was revealed that the two parties have found a resolution.

Michael Thomas Contract
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Saints and Thomas have agreed to a contract restructure for the 2023 campaign. He's now set to play under a one-year, $10 million deal that could reach up to $15 million with incentives.
This is the best outcome fans could've asked for. New Orleans now has one more year to see if Thomas can recapture his form, and for much cheaper than originally expected. The two-time First Team All-Pro, meanwhile, gets to stick around in a familiar environment and hopefully improve his stock so he can cash in next offseason.
Thomas' return could be massive for the Saints' offense, providing new quarterback Derek Carr a reliable top target who's a major red-zone threat (when healthy, of course). Hopefully that pair is able to make some serious noise together in 2023.
