The New Orleans Saints just picked up their eighth consecutive win last week when they went on the road and defeated the Denver Broncos. They now head into Week 13 with a 9-2 record and are set to face off against a divisional opponent in the Atlanta Falcons.

However, the Saints are just 3.5-point road favorites in this game, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, which doesn't do them justice as they are currently the No. 1 seed in the NFC. The Falcons have just a 4-7 record on the season and should not be involved in a spread this close.

The New Orleans Saints have thrived off of their defense during this winning streak as they are allowing just 20.5 points per game (No. 5 in the NFL) and have a turnover differential of +7 on the season (No. 4 in the NFL).

Even with Taysom Hill starting in place of Drew Brees, they have won each of their past four game by at least 14 points, which includes a 24-9 win over the Falcons just two weeks ago.

It isn't all about the defense, though. The Saints remain one of the highest scoring teams in the league averaging 29.6 points per game (No. 5 in the NFL) and haven't scored less than 24 points in any game so far this season.

On the other side, the Falcons have failed to stop opponents from driving down the field all season. They have allowed 391.7 yards per game this season (No. 27 in the NFL) and have just a 2-4 record in home games. They remain a heavy passing team on offense as they have struggled to run the ball all season. They only average 103.5 rushing yards per game (No. 23 in the NFL).

While divisional games tend to be close, there is no reason to believe the Saints can't come into Mercedes-Benz Stadium and blow out the Falcons once again. This spread should be more than just 3.5 points and it wouldn't be surprising to see it climb all the way up until game-time on Sunday.
