Ryan Fitzpatrick has never been a star quarterback in the NFL, but he has put together a long and pretty successful career for himself.

As he enters the 2020 season as the Miami Dolphins projected Week 1 starter, the 15-year veteran is about to pass three Hall of Famers in a crucial stat.

That is some really solid company to be in. While Fitzpatrick doesn't have the individual or team accolades of those other guys, he has proven that consistency, even if at a mediocre level, can build a pretty solid resume over the course of a career.

While Fitzpatrick does average more yards per game than a guy like Aikman, there were a number of years where Fitz wasn't his team's starter.

Even during those times, he was always considered one of the league's best backups. When given the chance, he always stepped in and performed admirably, even when faced with a rough roster or situation.

Who knows how much longer Fitz plans to play, but if we see him stick around for a few more years, he could be passing plenty of other all-time greats on this list.
