Royals Get Positive Andrew Benintendi Injury Update
By Max Staley

The Kansas City Royals have had a forgettable start to the season, opening the year with a 17-35 record. Things were threatening to get even worse last night, as Andrew Benintendi left Sunday's game against the Houston Astros after fouling a ball off his leg.
Thankfully, the injury doesn't appear to be too serious, as Benintendi seems confident that he'll be able to suit up on Monday.
Andrew Benintendi fouled a sinker off his calf in the 6th. Stayed in the game for two innings, but it was tight, he said. Thinks he’ll be good to go tomorrow, will assess when they show up to the ballpark.

Andrew Benintendi Injury Update
Losing Benintendi would be a devastating blow to this offense. He's slashing .321/.384/.415 with 8 doubles, 2 home runs, and 21 RBI. Royals fans can breathe a sigh of relief now that they know the rising 27-year-old star should be just fine.
Still, Kansas City doesn't appear to be a contender even with Benintendi at full strength. The Royals are available at +20000 to win the AL Central and are tied for the third-worst World Series odds (+100000), according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
