Rockies Reveal Coors Field Fan Capacity for 2021
By Larry Rupp

The 2020 MLB season was definitely one of a kind as there were no fans allowed in the stands due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It made an impact on the game as home teams did not have as much of an advantage without the energy of their fans behind them.
Everything is starting to turn back around for the 2021 season as the Colorado Rockies are the most recent MLB team to announce the fan capacity for their home stadium. Coors Field will be able to have up to 21,363 fans in the ballpark this season, which is 42.6% of the total capacity.

Coors Field Fan Capacity
This is a considerable upgrade as the Rockies were first approved to have just 25% of fans at Coors Field. Of course, fans will still have to obey the mask mandate in Colorado and the tickets will be socially distanced throughout the stadium.
The Rockies will attempt to make the MLB playoffs this season for just the third time since 2010 after they finished with a 26-34 record in 2020. Colorado will have to compete with teams like the reigning World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers and NL powerhouse San Diego Padres within the NL West division.
The team also announced that they will be hosting 7,000 vaccinated health care providers and first responders during their first few home games of the season. Thankfully, ballparks across the MLB are starting to increase its fan capacity and a sense of normalcy is starting to return to the game.
