The Baltimore Ravens' injury situation has gone from bad to worse after losing Gus Edwards and Marcus Peters to season-ending injuries on Thursday. They join J.K. Dobbins, Justice Hill and L.J. Fort as other players whose years have been ended before Week 1.

Now it turns out Baltimore will be without another contributor for at least a few weeks.

Nick Boyle Injury

Head coach John Harbaugh announced on Friday that tight end Nick Boyle will be placed on short-term IR. It's nothing short of disappointing news not even 24 hours after Thursday's catastrophe.

Boyle has become a mainstay in the Ravens' offense since the team drafted him in 2015. He appeared in nine games for Baltimore last year, totaling 14 receptions for 113 yards and 2 TDs. His numbers don't jump off of the page, but he's a key depth piece behind offensive focal point Mark Andrews.

The Ravens will now head into their Week 1 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders with a hobbled roster. They're still 3.5-point road favorites over Las Vegas, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
