Rangers News: Texas Gets Bad Update on Willie Calhoun Injury

The Texas Rangers' 2021 season has gone as expected. Texas currently owns a 29-48 record, the fourth-worst mark in the majors. Injuries have played a factor to in their poor performance, and things aren't getting any easier on that front.
Outfielder Willie Calhoun was hit by a pitch during Saturday's game and it'll land him on the injured list for a chunk of time.

Willie Calhoun Injury Update
Calhoun's HBP caused a fractured ulna bone in his left forearm, which is terrible news for the left-handed slugger. This will be by no means a quick recovery, and it could potentially end Calhoun's season if his rehab hits any snags. In an already lost season, the Rangers won't be eager to rush Calhoun back, either.
Calhoun has recorded 5 home runs, 19 RBI and 8 doubles while slashing .254/.323/.385 this season. He's failed to recapture the production of his 2019 campaign, and this injury certainly won't help the 26-year-old find his groove again.
The injury to the outfielder is just another blow for the Rangers, who could be sellers at the MLB Trade Deadline as they slip down the standings.
