Raiders Sign Former Pro Bowl Defender to Practice Squad

The Las Vegas Raiders fell short of the playoffs in 2020, thanks in part to a lackluster defense. Las Vegas spent much of its attention on improving that side of the ball this offseason in hopes of breaking its postseason drought.
The Raiders aren't done making additions to their defense, though, as their Week 1 kickoff approaches.

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix Raiders
Las Vegas is signing safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to its practice squad after he saw interest from several teams this summer. The Raiders addressed their weak spot at safety this offseason, but the veteran gives them another option if he's promoted to the official roster.
Clinton-Dix played the first four and a half seasons of his career with the Green Bay Packers, earning a Pro Bowl nod in 2016 while recording 7 passes defended and 5 interceptions.
He last played in 2019 for the Chicago Bears. He racked up 5 pass breakups and 2 INTs while starting all 16 games for Chicago that season.
With 16 career INTs and 4 forced fumbles to his name, Clinton-Dix could be a playmaker for a Raiders secondary that could use one. For now, he at least provides a talented depth option behind Jonathan Abrams and rookie Tre'von Moehrig.
