Players to Drop in Fantasy Football for Week 10 Waiver Pickups

As important as it is to find the top fantasy football waiver pickups for Week 10, adding those players comes with a cost.

You'll also need to find players on your team to drop to make these additions. It's not always as simple as dropping the players who put up the lowest-fantasy scores either, as a deeper look at workload and matchups could reveal them to be bounce-back candidates moving forward.

With that in mind, let's look at four players, still owned in at least 50 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Football leagues, that should prove safe to drop this week in order to make room for waiver wire pickups.

1. Gardner Minshew, Jacksonville Jaguars (61% Owned)

Nick Foles has officially replaced Gardner Minshew II as the starting quarterback of the Jacksonville Jaguars. With Foles now taking over the starting job, it's completely safe to drop Minshew this week. The Jaguars have an easy schedule in the fantasy playoffs though, playing the Oakland Raiders in Week 15 and the Atlanta Falcons in Week 16, and whoever is under center for Jacksonville during that stretch will be on the fantasy radar.

2. Frank Gore, RB, Buffalo Bills (55% Owned)

Devin Singletary seems to have taken a firm hold on the Buffalo Bills' No. 1 RB job. Gore has played 29 percent and 34 percent of the offensive snaps in the last two games, which joins Week 1 as his three lowest shares of the season. Unsurprisingly, these are the three games in which Singletary has been fully healthy. Offering little as a receiver (zero targets in those three games), and seeing middling carry totals (11, nine and 11) leaves Gore with limited fantasy upside.

3. Eric Ebron, TE, Indianapolis Colts (71% Owned)

Even with tight end being incredibly shallow in fantasy this year, Eric Ebron has no business being so heavily owned. He has yet to see more than five targets in a game in 2019, averaging just 2.3 receptions and 31.0 yards on 3.9 targets per game. He's only played even 50 percent of the Indianapolis Colts' offensive snaps once this year, and four of the last five games have seen him play less than 36 percent. Even in an ideal matchup coming up against the Miami Dolphins, Ebron fails to crack the top-12 tight ends in our Week 10 PPR fantasy football rankings.

4. DeSean Jackson, WR, Philadelphia Eagles (51% Owned)

After returning from a six-game absence, DeSean Jackson made it through just four snaps in Week 9 before leaving with an abdominal injury. That will likely be his final game of the regular season, as he's reportedly set to have abdominal surgery this week. This is a big blow to the Philadelphia Eagles and a major letdown if you've stashed Jackson on your bench since his Week 1 explosion. There's no hope left for his 2019 fantasy value now, though, and there's no reason to keep him on your bench.
