Panthers Get Amazing News With Christian McCaffrey Injury Update

Christian McCaffrey has been sidelined since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 2, but the Carolina Panthers have still managed a 3-2 record since then.
Now their offense is ready to get even more dangerous, as McCaffrey is finally back on the practice field ahead of a Week 8 Thursday Night Football matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

McCaffrey was the focal point of the offense to start the year, tallying 41 carries and 9 targets despite not even playing two full games. They've continued to feature the RB position heavily with McCaffrey on the shelf as well, giving Mike Davis an average of 14.0 caries and 6.6 targets per game across the last five weeks.
That this offense's identity hasn't shifted is a great sign for their potential with McCaffrey back on the field, since even Davis himself probably wouldn't argue that CMC is a massive upgrade at the RB spot.
Now returning on a short week could still be an uphill battle for McCaffrey, and the team may not want to rush him back against a lowly Atlanta Falcons squad that they defeated 23-16 in Week 5. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Panthers as 2.5-point home favorites for this one.
A more realistic return date will probably be Sunday, November 8th, when the Panthers will travel to take on the Kansas City Chiefs.
Even if he's not back in the lineup quite yet, Panthers fans have to love that their superstar is back on the field.
