Packers Send Branded Masks to Season Ticket Holders With Letter Failing to Guarantee Games in 2020 Season
The global pandemic has hit the sports world hard, but the NFL for the most part, has been largely unaffected so far since they were the only ones who were in the offseason when everything went on lockdown.
However, the start of the NFL season could soon be put in jeopardy, and with uncertainty growing every day, season ticket holders are understandably becoming more and more worried about their investment.
The Packers, in a presumed attempt to ease things over with those same season ticket holders, ended up doing the complete opposite.
They sent out a package to all their season ticket holders with team-branded face coverings that came along with a letter. The letter failed to do the one thing these season ticket holders likely care about the most – guarantee there will be football games played at Lambeau Field in the fall.
You can imagine the frustration that would arise if you were a season ticket holder that the team required to pay upfront for a product they themselves cannot even guarantee will happen in any capacity.
For a franchise that is naturally connected to its fans arguably more than any other team, this feels like a tone deaf shortcut to keep people happy for a short while.
