NLDS Game 2 pick: Braves vs. Brewers Prediction

It's playoff time, and everything is on the line in every game. The red-hot Atlanta Braves head to the slumping Milwaukee Brewers in this NLDS matchup. In this prediction, let's dive into a Braves vs. Brewers pick and determine the best bet for this Saturday's NLDS prediction.
NLDS Game 2 pick: Braves vs. Brewers Prediction
We have two teams that ended the season heading in opposite directions. Yes, both made the postseason, but as we've seen plenty of times before, momentum is a real thing. One of these teams has momentum on their side, including for their starting pitcher.
Tomahawk Chop
The headlines entering the postseason were the St. Louis Cardinals' incredible winning streak and the Los Angeles Dodgers' incredible finish. Due to that, both teams swept the Braves' strong finish under the rug. Atlanta won eight of their final nine games to close out the regular season and look to keep that momentum alive in Game 2 of the NLDS vs. the Brewers.
Max Fried will head to the mound for the Braves, where he finished with a 3.04 ERA, a 1.08 WHIP, and 158 strikeouts over 165 innings this season. Fried's numbers on the road are very similar to his season stats, showcasing his ability to win in any ballpark. He has an elevated 4.50 ERA and 1.50 WHIP at American Family Field, but this is the postseason and things are different.
Brew Crew
The Brewers, on the other hand, finished the regular season losing five of their final six games. Milwaukee has struggled to create run support when Brandon Woodruff takes the mound. In 16 of his 30 starts, the Brewers have failed to score more than three runs. Milwaukee has a lot cut out for them, with an already inept offense performing even worse when Woodruff has the ball.
Woodruff has struggled as of late as well. During the second half of the season, he went 2-6 with a 3.41 ERA and 1.21 WHIP. Considering his full-season stats are a 2.56 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP, the second-half numbers are bloated.
Braves vs. Brewers prediction and pick
Atlanta's Fried finished the season on a fantastic tear, boasting a 1.46 ERA and holding opponents to a .182/.213/.279 slash line over his final 11 starts. Milwaukee's Woodruff has struggled during the second half of the season, and the Brewers don't provide much run support during his starts.
Expect Atlanta to show more power than they did during Game 1 and for them to tie this series up at 1-1. Take the Braves moneyline (+114 at the FanDuel Sportsbook) and enjoy the dominance of Max Fried.
