The Chicago Bears quarterback situation has been a mess all season, and that situation is even worse now that Nick Foles is banged up.
Foles got hurt in the Bears' Week 10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, and he's been ruled out for Week 12's meeting with the Green Bay Packers. That means it's Mitchell Trubisky's turn again.
Honestly, the move may have made sense even if Foles weren't injured. Trubisky threw for 6 touchdowns with just 3 interceptions, averaging 5.24 adjusted net yards per attempt (ANY/A). That's not a great mark, but it's a far cry better than Foles' 4.70, or even the 5.17 he posted with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2019.
The Bears are still firmly in the hunt for a wild card spot, and it looks like Trubisky could give them a better chance at earning one than Foles does.
Of course, this week's matchup is a tough one against the 7-3 Packers. If Trubisky even manages to just play respectable football this week, he very well may win his job back even when Foles is healed up.
