NFL Insider Suggests Broncos Interested in Trading Up for a QB in 2021 NFL Draft
By Larry Rupp

The 2021 NFL Draft is quickly approaching and we have already seen the San Francisco 49ers move up to the No. 3 overall pick in what is expected to be a quarterback selection. Well, we could see a similar move from the Denver Broncos according to one NFL insider.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that the Broncos may be looking to move up in the first round to take a QB if they are unable to acquire on before then. There is a chance Denver can get a deal done, especially since the Atlanta Falcons are open to trading down from the No. 4 spot.
Two of the top candidates that @RapSheet can identify as teams who may trade up for a QB are the Broncos & Patriots.

“If [the Broncos] don’t acquire another quarterback between now and the draft, they would be considered a trade up candidate, potentially at 4, potentially at 5.”
Denver Broncos Trade Up Rumors
This wouldn't be a surprising move given how much the Broncos' offense struggled last season. Denver averaged just 20.2 points (fifth-least in the NFL) and 215.7 passing yards (seventh-least in the NFL) per game. Starter Drew Lock also ended the season tied for the league lead with 15 interceptions.
The Broncos have a team full of youth and an exciting rookie quarterback could be exactly what they need to grow into a playoff team. Denver would likely be able to grab an elite prospect such as Mac Jones, Justin Fields or Trey Lance by trading up, but it may take a lot of capital to do so.
General manager George Paton could look to make a big splash in his first draft with the Broncos and change the future of this franchise. This may truly come down to whether or not the front office still believes in Lock at all. For now, we'll just have to wait and see.
