NFC East Predictions for the 2019 NFL Season

The NFC East had two teams qualify for the NFL playoffs last season and has the last Super Bowl champion not named the New England Patriots.

The 2018 Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles will look to build off of last season's playoff appearance, but this time with QB Carson Wentz under center, after Nick Foles signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

But the Eagles didn't win the NFC East last season. That honor went to the Dallas Cowboys, a team that is bringing back much of the same roster that won a playoff game against the Seahawks in the Wild Card Round last season.

Rounding out the division are the Washington Redskins and the New York Giants, two teams led by veteran quarterbacks while they search for their QB of the future.

All of these teams will look to improve their respective rosters in the 2019 NFL Draft, but they do so, here's who a few industry experts are predicting will bring home the NFC East title this coming season.

NFC East Predictions

Hogs Haven

You'd think Hogs Haven, the SB Nation affiliate associated with the Redskins, would have some bias, but it didn't show in their NFC East prediction, thanks to a poll via FanPulse. The poll asked which team fans in the NFC East is the favorite to win the division, and the answer with 64 percent of the votes was the Eagles. Next was the Cowboys with 30 percent of the vote.

Inside the Hashes

The folks over at Inside the Hashes are well aware that without Odell Beckham Jr. on the Giants and Alex Smith under center for the Redskins that this division is a two-horse race. They give the edge to Dallas, pointing to the acquisition of Randall Cobb, George Iloka and Robert Quinn. They say that those moves may not be the flashiest, but they're enough to give the Cowboys the edge to win the NFC East.

Pickswise NFL

Pickswise NFL has the Redskins and Giants bringing up the rear in the division this coming season and predicts that both the Eagles and Cowboys finish with a 9-7 record.

With one expert calling for a tie atop the NFC East and the other two split between the Eagles and the Cowboys, we're surely in for a heated race for division supremacy. There's even a chance that both Philadelphia and Dallas end up back in the playoffs once again this season.
