The Nelson Agholor Experience lasted five seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, and it was a rollercoaster. Agholor's penchant for dropping passes became well known during his tenure in Philly, which made his departure easier when the time came.
Agholor, now a member of the New England Patriots, suited up against his former team at a joint practice on Tuesday. And it went exactly as expected.
Agholor burned former teammate Darius Slay to get open for a score, but then dropped the potential TD pass. It was a familiar scene for Eagles fans, who've watched that exact thing before.
The breakup with Agholor was amicable, as both sides clearly needed a fresh start. The wideout never truly lived up to being a first-round pick, and the weight of those expectations seemed to drag him down in Philly. He had a bounce-back year in 2020 with the Las Vegas Raiders, though, and will hope to elevate a lackluster Pats receiving corps.
