Though there have been some back-and-forth conversations among the players about starting the season again, as of now, it seems the NBA will resume play sometime in the last week of July and finish the season sometime in October.

With the season getting going again, the MVP conversation gets put back into a place for discussion. That is until you look at the odds, which paint a clear picture of the favorite and who will come home with the award.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has a massive lead on the competition with -2000 odds to grab the hardware.

LeBron James is the only one remotely close to him in odds and he's still looking at a massive deficit with +1100 odds. James Harden and Luka Doncic both come in tied at +8000, while Anthony Davis and Kawhi Leonard both have +9500 odds.
So while for much of the season the MVP race was indeed a race, at this point with only eight regular season games remaining, Giannis winning the 2019-20 NBA MVP award appears to be a forgone conclusion.
