By Tristan Jung

The NBA season is finally set to resume on July 30 in Orlando, as long as the plans don't fall apart before then. Although the logistical challenges and social climate of the country will make matters difficult, in all likelihood we will see a full playoff schedule and much-anticipated NBA Finals matchup.

In addition to a full list of NBA Championship odds for the remaining 22 teams, FanDuel Sportsbook has odds on which two teams will make up the NBA Finals matchup. The favorite is the Milwaukee Bucks taking on the Los Angeles Lakers, with +300 odds. Next is a Bucks/Los Angeles Clippers matchup (+370) and a Bucks/ Houston Rockets matchup at +1100. The most likely matchup that doesn't involve Milwaukee is the Lakers vs. Boston Celtics at +1900.
The Bucks, led by superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, are the overwhelming favorites to emerge from the Eastern Conference at -175, an implied probability of 63.6%. The Lakers, who will rely heavily on Anthony Davis and LeBron James, are slight favorites to win the Western Conference at +160 with the Los Angeles Clippers close behind at +190.
Before the season stopped, the Bucks and Lakers were comfortably ahead in the race for the No. 1 seed in their respective conferences. While "home court advantage" won't be a factor, the easier road in the playoffs should help them. As for winning the Championship, the Bucks are slight favorites at +240 with the Lakers close behind at +260.

Hopefully the league will be able to successfully implement its safety protocols so that we'll have a full playoff schedule. There's still some speculation on whether some players are willing to show up for the abrogated season, so make sure to keep the news in mind before placing any bets.
Still, it's clear that the Bucks and Lakers will be the team to beat in Orlando next month.
