NBA DFS 12/15/2021
Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Wednesday, 12/15, NBA DFS action.
FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 12/15
Nikola Jokic Fantasy
Target Nikola Jokic, C, Denver Nuggets ($11,500): Nikola Jokic is on a tear. He's outpaced his season average of 56.8 FanDuel fantasy points in each of his last five contests, averaging a whopping 28.2 points, 14.4 rebounds and 10.6 assists per game. The Minnesota Timberwolves are the perfect opponent to keep things going, as they rank in the top nine teams for most PPG and RPG allowed. The Joker torched them for 26/19/7 earlier this season, so it's clear he knows how to exploit this matchup.
Jarrett Allen Fantasy
Target Jarrett Allen, PF/C, Cleveland Cavaliers ($8,500): Jarrett Allen could be in for a night of stat sheet stuffing as well. The big man has racked up 10 double-doubles over his last 12 games, and he's provided some serious scoring with 20.9 PPG on 73.1% shooting from the field. The Houston Rockets have allowed the third-most PPG to opponents this season, and they could be without reliable center Christian Wood for this contest due to a knee injury. Houston also plays at the fastest pace in the league, which should mean plenty of rebounding opportunities for Allen.
Terance Mann Fantasy
Target Terance Mann, SG/SF, Los Angeles Clippers ($5,700): Terrance Mann is a great value at his current price. He's turned it on with Paul George out the past three games, averaging 14.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists while hitting 68.0% from the field and 71.4% from 3-point range. Though Mann draws a tough matchup in the Utah Jazz, he burned an even better Phoenix Suns defense for 17 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists on 70% shooting in his last outing. The 35.3 minutes per game he's seeing with George sidelined gives him ample opportunity to produce if the Clippers' star is sidelined once again.
Russell Westbrook Fantasy
Avoid Russell Westbrook, PG, Los Angeles Lakers ($9,200): Russell Westbrook has taken a backseat with LeBron James back in the mix. In the five games following James' return, Westbrook's points (14.0), assists (7.8) and rebounds (5.4) have all dropped off from his season averages. The former MVP's scoring troubles are the most glaring issue, as he's scored 10 points or fewer in three of those five games. That's not going to get it done when he's also committing 4.4 turnovers a game in this span.
Karl-Anthony Towns Fantasy
Avoid Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Minnesota Timberwolves ($9,400): Karl-Anthony Towns is far from matchup-proof. He's failed to grab more than 7 rebounds in two of his last three games, struggling with matchups against Jarrett Allen and Rudy Gobert. It doesn't get any easier on Wednesday facing Nikola Jokic. Denver is in the top 12 for fewest opponent RPG, buyoed by Jokic's dominance down low. Throw in the fact that KAT hasn't gone over 39.5 FanDuel fantasy points in any of his last three games, and he becomes a serious avoid in this contest.
