FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 1/17

Giannis Antetokounmpo Fantasy

Target Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF/SF, Milwaukee Bucks ($11,300): Giannis Antetokounmpo hasn't missed a beat since returning from a one-game absence, averaging 32.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists over the past five contests. Antetokounmpo's handled even more of the playmaking load with Jrue Holiday sidelined, and he's delivered with at least 8 assists in three of the past five games. He's in great position to dish out countless dimes against the Atlanta Hawks, who give up the second-most APG in the league.

Rudy Gobert Fantasy

Target Rudy Gobert, C, Utah Jazz ($8,600): Rudy Gobert feasted in his first game back from the COVID list, putting up 18 points, 19 rebounds and 46.8 FanDuel fantasy points in 35 minutes. That marked Gobert's sixth straight outing with at least 40 fantasy points and a double-double. He draws the perfect matchup to keep things going in the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers rank bottom five for PPG and RPG allowed to opponents this year. They also play at the third-fastest pace in the league, which should lead to plenty of rebounding opportunities for the big man.

Jae Crowder Fantasy

Target Jae Crowder, PF/SF, Phoenix Suns ($5,100): Jae Crowder has provided sneaky production at a marginal cost recently. Crowder's averaging nearly 31 fantasy points per game over the last three contests, thanks to an explosion on the boards (9.0 RPG) during that stretch. He's also averaging 12.0 PPG with 50.0% shooting from the field and and 58.8% shooting from deep. The San Antonio Spurs have struggled on defense this year, ranking in the top 10 for highest opponent FG% and 3P%. They're another team that likes to fly up and down the court with the league's fourth-fastest pace, making this an ideal matchup for Crowder to outperform his modest salary.

CJ McCollum Fantasy

Avoid CJ McCollum, SG, Portland Trail Blazers ($8,100): It's hard to know what to expect from CJ McCollum in his return on Monday. He's missed the last 18 games due to a collapsed lung and the birth of his child, so there'll be plenty of rust to shake off following more than a month away from the court. There's also the emergence of Anfernee Simons to account for, who's looked spectacular as the Portland Trail Blazers' lead guard in recent games. Norman Powell may be returning from the COVID list on Monday as well, making this a crowded backcourt even with Damian Lillard sidelined. John Collins Fantasy

Avoid John Collins, PF/C, Atlanta Hawks ($7,400): "Underwhelming" is a good way to describe John Collins' recent performances. He's recorded less than 25 fantasy points in three of his last five outings, and his high during this period is only 31.2. Collins' average of 6.8 RPG has hurt his fantasy upside, and his playmaking has dropped off to just 0.8 APG over his last five games. He draws a Bucks team that ranks No. 3 in RPG and owns a solid scoring defense, which makes it extremely hard to see Collins breaking out of his funk.
