Most Likely Marvin Jones Trade Destinations

The Detroit Lions are in a tricky spot. They're not exactly a young team, but they're also not looking like legitimate Super Bowl contenders. That means they should be active at the trade deadline, and one player who teams are showing interest in is wide receiver Marvin Jones.

Here are the most likely trade destinations for the veteran wideout.
3. New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints are still firmly in win-now mode with Drew Brees at the helm, but his supporting cast has let him down. Star wideout Michael Thomas has been banged up and dealing with apparent disciplinary issues, Emmanuel Sanders hasn't made much of an impact and now is on the COVID/reserve list, and Tre'Quan Smith can't shoulder the load on his own. Adding Jones, who has average a solid 8.7 yards per target over his career, would really bolster this passing game while giving Brees a downfield threat to make this offense a bit more unpredictable.
2. Washington Football Team
The Washington Football Team offense is getting there. Terry McLaurin broke out as a rookie in 2019, and Antonio Gibson looks like the real deal at RB this year. Even Logan Thomas is showing flashes at tight end. They obviously still need to address the QB position, which probably won't happen until the offseason, but adding Jones to play opposite McLaurin would give whoever starts at QB in 2021 a pretty solid array of weapons to work with.
1. Cleveland Browns
At 5-2, the Cleveland Browns are firmly in the playoff hunt, and they're going to have to find a way to fill the void left by Odell Beckham's ACL injury. Jarvis Landy can pick up some of the slack, but he doesn't play nearly the same role that Beckham does. That means Rashard Higgins (87 career receptions in five seasons) will be tasked with filling Beckham's shoes, which doesn't exactly inspire a ton of confidence. An outside threat like Jones could be exactly what Cleveland needs to keep this offense firing on all cylinders.
