Week 5 may not bring two Monday Night Football matchups like we had in Week 4, but we do get an interesting one as the Los Angeles Chargers travel to take on the New Orleans Saints.

Here are the top fantasy picks for this Monday Night Football showdown.

Who Should I Start Fantasy Football

Start Tre'Quan Smith, WR, New Orleans Saints: Michael Thomas has been ruled out again, and that means Tre'Quan Smith and Emmanuel Sanders will continue to pick up the slack. Each has 17 targets through three games with Thomas on the shelf, but Smith (13 receptions, 182 yards, 2 touchdowns) has easily been the more efficient of the two. Big-play upside and solid volume continues to make Smith a solid option while Thomas is sidelined.

Start Joshua Kelley, RB, Los Angeles Chargers: The Chargers are expected to use a committee backfield while Austin Ekeler is out, but rookie Joshua Kelley will lead the way. Ekeler frees up a ton of volume (15.7 carries and 5.3 targets per game across three healthy contests). Kelley is already seeing decent volume (13.0 carries and 1.8 targets per game), so stepping up as the RB1 should give him enough of a workload to be a weekly fantasy starter.

Sit Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans Saints: Drew Brees has posted solid fantasy numbers over the past couple weeks, but there's some real room for concern in the way he's playing. Even by his standards, a league-low 5.6-yard average depth of target (aDOT) is pretty shocking (no other qualifying passer was below 6.2 entering Week 5), and relying so heavily on YAC from his receivers limits his fantasy upside.

Sit Mike Williams, WR, Los Angeles Chargers: Barring a set-back, it looks like Mike Williams will be back in action after being sidelined by a hamstring injury. For a downfield playmaker, however, the potential of the injury slowing Williams down (or that he reaggravates it) makes this a spot to avoid if possible. A healthy Williams offers huge upside, but starting him would be taking a huge gamble tonight.
