Jordan Howard's stinger in Week 9 against the Chicago Bears paved the way for Miles Sanders to blossom into a fantasy star for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Since Week 11, Sanders is averaging 18.8 PPR points per game. He's seen no less than 50 snaps in each game, with an average of 19.9 touches for 105.8 yards from scrimmage per contest.

However, Howard is returning this week, and that could hurt Sanders' fantasy value a bit come Sunday, though his fantasy owners shouldn't worry too much.

In his first nine games of the season alongside Howard, Sanders saw an average of 26.7 snaps per game. Howard, on the other hand, saw an average of 31.0, meaning the disparity was only an average 4.3 snaps per week. In other words, the opportunity for both players was just about even when both were available.

With the way Sanders has played as of late, it's tough to envision this returning to an even timeshare, especially since Howard has been sidelined for seven consecutive games. In a must-win game against the New York Giants this week, Sanders looks like the preferred play here.

And with Zach Ertz officially being ruled out, Sanders could get some extra work in the passing game as well.

The Giants allow the 14th-fewest PPR points per game to running backs, but the Eagles have averaged 30.0 carries per game across their last three, which creates a ton of opportunity for their RBs.

Sanders checks in as the RB14 in our Week 17 PPR rankings, while Howard doesn't crack the top 36 at the position.
